Welcome To Year 3!

Welcome to Summer Term 2!!

Our final term of the year and wow this year has flown by!!

In Year 3 we learn and play,
Reading books and counting all day.
We write new words and try our best,
With maths and stories and spelling tests.

We make new friends and have some fun,
Year 3 is great for everyone! 🌟

Our teachers in Year 3 are Mrs Connolly, Mrs Kervin and Miss Blackledge. They are supported by Mr Davies and Ms Sorrell

We are looking forward to seeing you all again after the Half-Term holiday. This year is flying by and we are heading into the last term of the year. Again, we have exciting lessons and outdoor fun planned for Summer Term 2.

We aim to develop resilient learners who embrace the challenges of Key Stage Two.

PE

Children need a full PE kit in school.

This next half term, Summer 2, children will need an outdoor PE kit for both days: black shorts and a plain white top; leggings or joggers and a fleece for chillier days. Children will also need appropriate footwear for outdoor PE, trainers.

Both Classes

Monday - Outdoor athletics

Thursday - Striking and fielding games also outdoor.

In addition to our PE lessons, the children have the opportunity to use our own running track to take part in the daily mile, which we have found to impact very positively on their attitude to learning and well-being.

It is our intent for all of our children to gain confidence with their reading, whilst developing a love of books, so we ask that reading folders are brought into school daily. 

Snack

Please ensure your child has a water bottle in school each day. 

Snack is available daily for children to purchase. 

Toast/Bagels/Crumpets - 20p each.

Tuesday and Thursday, children will be given the choice of a healthy snack.

Children are also welcome to bring their own healthy snack into school.

We use school spider to share your children’s learning experiences with you. Please check in regularly to view what the children have been doing in class.
