Welcome To Year 3!

In Year 3 we learn and play,
Reading books and counting all day.
We write new words and try our best,
With maths and stories and spelling tests.

We make new friends and have some fun,
Year 3 is great for everyone! 🌟

Our teachers in Year 3 are Mrs Connolly, Mrs Kervin and Miss Blackledge. They are supported by Mr Davies

We are looking forward to seeing you all again after the Christmas Break and there are many exciting activities and lessons planned for the new year!

We aim to develop resilient learners who embrace the challenges of Key Stage Two.

PE

Children need a full PE kit in school.

This next half term, Autumn 1, children will need an indoor and outdoor PE kit: black shorts and a plain white top for indoor and leggings or joggers, a plain white T-Shirt, a fleece (if necessary) for cycling. Children will also need appropriate footwear for cylcing, trainers; children will be in bare feet for gymnastics in the hall.

In addition to our PE lessons, the children have the opportunity to use our own running track to take part in the daily mile, which we have found to impact very positively on their attitude to learning and well-being.

It is our intent for all of our children to gain confidence with their reading, whilst developing a love of books, so we ask that reading folders are brought into school daily.
