A huge welcome to our Year 6 pupils, parents and families! Your final year at Woodland is an extremely important time where, as a team, we will work hard to prepare you for the exciting transition to secondary school. We are also sure that this will be the most memorable and fun year of your primary school life!!
Our staff consists of Miss Beeley, Mr. Chadwick, Mrs Collins, Mrs Dobson, Miss Patrick and Mrs Hall. We are a committed group who are not going to let current issues affect our Year 6 ethos. We are all proud to lead a team of hardworking pupils who are keen to learn and be respectful of one another. We believe strongly in the Olympic values and strive to incorporate them in all we do, encouraging determination and equality throughout school.

Our Year 6s are role models for the rest of the school. We are looking to make every child a prefect this year so please talk to your child about putting 100% effort into both work and behaviour in order to achieve this. As a reward we will be taking prefects on fabulous trips.
One of our most anticipated events of the year is of course our residential visit to Borwick Hall in June. An absolutely brilliant way for pupils and staff to celebrate their time together.
LOOK OUT LONDON
We hope to be heading to London again this year for our tour round the capital. Visit Buckingham Palace, get a bird’s eye from the London Eye and chill out on a River Thames Cruise to name just a few things.
Keep posted for photos.
Our dedicated staff strive to give our Year 6s the best chance possible at high school. In order to achieve this, we strongly encourage you to ensure your child is reading daily and support them with any work that gets sent home. The successes of previous Year 6s has been underpinned by the strong partnership between staff and parents.
Should you have any questions over the course of the year, please do not hesitate to contact us and let’s hope for a great year.
