Year 3
Year 3 is a fantastic year to be in and we are all looking forward to a great year ahead.
The teachers are Ms Mills, Mrs Kervin and Mrs McLoughlin assisted by Mrs Hulme, Mrs Preston, Mrs K and Mr Stockton together we aim to develop the children’s love of learning and their ability to work with greater independence and resilience.
There are many exciting themes planned throughout the year and we feel sure that the year 3 children will embrace the challenges of key stage 2 and show fantastic progress in all areas of the curriculum.
Children need a full PE kit, which needs to be kept in school. This half term this should be suitable for outdoors PE e.g. trainers and track suits.

In addition to our PE lessons, the children have the opportunity to use our own running track to take part in the daily mile, which we have found to impact very positively on their attitude to learning and well-being.
It is our intent for all of our children to gain confidence with their reading, whilst developing a love of books, so we ask that reading folders are brought into school daily.
Snack is available daily for children to purchase.
Tangerine - 15p
Banana - 15p
Pear - 15p

Toast - 20p per slice
Children are also welcome to bring their own healthy snack into school.
We use Seesaw to share your children’s learning experiences with you – make sure to check in regularly to view what the children have been doing in class.
