Congratulations to our Netball team, Tri Golf team and Cricket team who represented West Lancashire in the Sainsbury School Games. The level of performance was extremely high and the children had an amazing day competing.

Congratulations to the athletics team who secured first place for the 4th year on the run. The children ran with determination and courage. We are proud of them!

Wow! The Woodland Whippets achieved a double victory, with both the girls and the boys winning the competition. The children's commitment and hard work certainly paid off with a well deserved win. Congratulations to our Y4 Tennis Team who won the Town Tennis Competition. They will now go on to play the winners of Ormskirk Tennis Competition. The winner of this event will represent West Lancs in the Lancashire School Games.

West Lancashire Sport Partnership Congratulations to Woodland Community Primary School on a great performance in the Tri Golf School Games Qualifier. Keep practising those skills ready for the SPAR Lancashire Finals in July.

Congratulations to the Netball Team who are the District Champions. They will now represent West Lancashire in the Lancashire County Competition (School Games).

Congratulations to the netball team who won the Town Netball Competition. The team will now progress to play the winner of the Ormskirk Schools and the Tarleton Schools. The winner of the District Competition will represent West Lancashire in the County Competition. Good Luck Woodland!

Congratulations to the Mini Whippets who won the Town Park Run: Layla = 1st place India = 8th place Kyran = 3rd place Nathan = 6th place

Congratulations to Brandon and Emily who represented our school in the Skelmersdale Public Speaking Event. The children were challenged with the question 'What can we do to help prevent pollution in Skelmersdale?' We were extremely proud of how Emily and Brandon presented their presentation with confidence to the Mayor and Mayoress of West Lancashire.

Congratulations to the Swimming Team. Their success is due to their hard work and determination. For two months, the children have been training to improve their technique to cut seconds off their time. The children are a credit to our school and we are proud of them. A special mention goes to Daniel Stockton who holds the Town record for backstroke with 26.69 and the boys relay team who also hold the town record with 1.35.22.

Congratulation to Woodland Primary School who won the District Indoor Athletics Competition (West Lancs Sports Partnership). They will now go on to represent West Lancashire to compete in the Lancashire School Games Final.

Year 3/4 were crowned Football Town Champions!
